A cabinet maker has knowledge on the various types of wood and composite materials; the proper skill to operate hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machines; and the ability to construct a finished product for home and office use. Put simply, a cabinet maker is a skilled woodworker who makes, repairs and installs cabinets and other furniture. In the United States, one of the best known organizations for cabinet makers is the Cabinet Makers Association or CMA.
